We all need insurances of one kind or another and as a result the UK insurance industry is worth billions. Rising levels of insurance fraud has meant that insurance companies have tightened up on their claims handling. As a result, complaints about insurance companies refusing claims or parts of claims or withdrawing cover altogether are far too common.
Many disputes can be resolved by following the insurer’s internal complaints process or by complaining to the Financial Ombudsmen. There are, however, some cases where the Ombudsmen can’t or will not help or where you may fail to convince the Ombudsmen that you have a case.
