Welcome Carly Johnson & Tamara Clary to CWJ

Clarkson Wright & Jakes is delighted to welcome back Carly Johnson (nee Sargeant) as Partner and Head of the Residential Property team.

Carly started her conveyancing career at Clarkson Wright & Jakes back in 2002 when she worked for the firm until 2014. Carly continued to gain further valuable experience at another Kent law firm before returning to CWJ on 2nd October as Partner.

Carly brings a wealth of experience in conveyancing, covering all residential property matters including new build and shared ownership transactions.

“I spent 12 years at CWJ in conveyancing so when I had the opportunity to re-join the firm it felt like I was returning home. There are quite a lot of staff that are still here so it’s amazing to be working with such great people who complement the firm so well.”

The firm also recently welcomed senior lawyer, Tamara Clary, who has over 24 years’ experience handling personal injury and clinical negligence claims.

Amanda Mehlin, Managing Partner at CWJ remarked “Carly and Tamara join us at an exciting time for Clarkson Wright & Jakes and will boost our Residential Property and Personal Injury teams.

We’re delighted to welcome Carly back to the firm and she will complement the already strong senior lawyer team we have. Carly knows the local market extremely well and having worked at CWJ before has first-hand experience of the high-quality conveyancing services we provide to clients.

We’re really pleased to have Tamara join our outstanding personal injury and clinical negligence department. The team, who are shortlisted for ‘Team of the Year’ at the upcoming LawNet awards continues to go from strength to strength representing clients both regionally and nationally.”

Tamara commented “I’m excited to have joined such a progressive firm with a first-class reputation for its personal injury and clinical negligence work.”

Clarkson Wright & Jakes are actively seeking experienced lawyers for our Corporate and Commercial and Commercial Property teams. Anyone interested should get in touch with Chris Moore, HR Director at chris.moore@cwj.co.uk.
